TYPE-VIII Kenta Umemoto Project
TYPE-VIII Kenta Umemoto project is a collaborative endeavor with photographer Kenta Umemoto, who inspired the A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE design team through his creative process and expressive works. Reconstructing the visuals of Umemoto’s 2023 work, FLŌRA, which utilizes light and shadow to capture the beauty of vibrant flowers, the design team patchworked them onto the delicate pleated texture of the garments, using a heat transfer process to secure the imagery.
This sleeveless dress has a voluminous three-dimensional shape and a bateau neck.
